Stas Venglevski, a native of the Republic of Moldova (formerly part of the Soviet Union), is celebrated for his artistry, dazzling technical command, and deep musical sensitivity, earning him international acclaim as a virtuoso of the bayan. A two-time first prize winner of the Bayan Competition in Moldova, Stas is a graduate of the Russian Academy of Music in Moscow, where he earned his Master’s Degree under the renowned Russian bayanist Friedrich Lips.

He has toured extensively as a soloist throughout the former Soviet Union, Canada, Europe, and the United States, performing with artists such as Doc Severinsen, Steve Allen, and Garrison Keillor on A Prairie Home Companion. His orchestral collaborations include performances with the Chicago, Tacoma, Milwaukee, Racine, Jefferson, Nuremberg (Germany), Pueblo, Sheboygan, and Seattle Symphony Orchestras.

Stas is also a regular participant in the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra’s Arts in Community Education (ACE) program, sharing his passion for music with young audiences and the wider community.
