Patricio Cadena Pérez began studying classical guitar in his native Ecuador at the age of 21 as a self-taught musician. He later moved to France to pursue musical studies at the Paris Conservatory, focusing on musical reading, analysis, and composition. He has also drawn artistic inspiration and guidance from notable musicians including Argentinian concert guitarist Roberto Aussel, Uruguayan maestro Abel Carlevaro, and British lute player Terence Waterhouse. Through years of dedicated exploration, Cadena Pérez developed his own distinctive technical approach to the guitar, informed by both classical tradition and his independent research.
