Fourteen-year-old pianist Caden Chau of Bellevue, Washington, discovered his passion for music at the age of six when he began his piano studies with Dr. Li-Cheng Anna Hung. Since then, he has distinguished himself in numerous local, national, and international competitions. In 2023, Caden won 3rd Prize in the American Protégé International Music Competition for Young Talents, making his debut at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall. He returned to Carnegie Hall in 2024 through the American Protégé International Romantic Music Competition, and in 2025 was selected to perform at the Progressive Musicians Laureate & Prize Gala, marking his third consecutive Carnegie Hall appearance.

Caden has also earned high honors at the Seattle Young Artist Music Festival, Performing Arts Festival of the Eastside, Bach Festival, and Virtuoso Festival. In addition to piano, he began studying violin in 2020 and performs in his school orchestra.
Caden’s goal is to continue developing as a musician and to pursue a professional career as a pianist.
